Community Involvement

In addition to recognizing the importance of individual attention to every student’s needs, Crescent School District encourages and solicits broad-based parent and community involvement in program development and evaluation throughout the schools. Parent Volunteer Programs encourage parent and community involvement in tutoring, mentoring, assisting in the classroom and the office, and planning and coordinating special school programs and activities. Parent and community members also serve on strategic planning and advisory committees for school and program development such as levy and budget preparation, Family Life Education, gifted, Chapter I, school program development, special education, and substance abuse. Active PTO and Booster Club organizations are the cornerstone of parent involvement in the individual schools
