Back to School Event
The annual Back to School Barbecue is Tuesday August 23
Elementary Students (K-5) should start in the elementary building, where they will meet their teacher and learn about school supplies, back packs, communication tools, and other resources to prepare Crescent students for the new school year.
Secondary students will start in the Library where they will have an opportunity to meet teachers, have a photo ID initiated, and learn about class registration, ASB activities, athletics, school supplies, and other important tools to help make the new year successful.
Afterwards, all families will meet outside under the playshed for a barbecue, hosted by members of Crescent Grange
First Day of School for 2022-23
Thursday, August 25 is the first day of school for grades 1 – 12. School days start at 8:00 a.m. and end at 2:26 p.m, except on Wednesdays, which are early release and ends at 1:26 p.m.
Student documents for beginning of school year:
Parents are encouraged if they haven’t already registered their child for Kindergarten, to please do so at once by contacting the school office. The first day of school for Kindergartners is Tuesday, August 30.
School Office hours
All school offices are open for registration between the hours of 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Sports physicals are available at North Olympic Healthcare Network’s (NOHN) newly opened walk-in clinic, located at 933 E First Street. No appointment is needed, and the walk-in clinic is available five days a week, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
NOHN can bill insurance including Apple Health and Medicaid. A sliding fee scale is available for those without insurance. Services are available regardless of the ability to pay.

Crescent will continue to provide breakfast service to all students at no charge. For more information and new prices on school meals, see the District's Child Nutrition pages on our website.
Parents/guardians should fill out a Free/Reduced Meal application for the current school year if they feel they may qualify. Applications are available at the school office and on the District website.
Friday Food Bag Program
School families can sign up for the Friday Food Bag program. The Port Angeles Food Bank, in collaboration with Crescent, offers students in need a Friday Food Bag with a meal for the weekend at no cost. This service is available to students eligible for the Free/Reduced Meal Program. Sign-up forms for Friday Food Bags will be available at school buildings, and the program begins in mid-September.

Please note: It is important that your student’s school office has your current contact information.
Crescent School District greatly values and appreciates the time, talents and efforts of our volunteers. All school secretaries have volunteer packets in their offices for anyone wishing to volunteer in the classrooms or school buildings. Those wishing to volunteer must provide a valid driver’s license for a background check.
