Back to School Event

The annual Back to School Barbecue is Thursday August 22nd, beginning with classroom visits at 4:30 and then serving food in the Cafeteria at 5:00pm.

 

Elementary Students (K-5) should start in the elementary building, Secondary will meet in each class designated areas where they will meet their teacher and learn about school supplies, back packs, communication tools, and other resources to prepare Crescent students for the new school year. 

 

 

First Day of School for 2024-25

Wednesday August 28 is the first day of school for grades 1 – 12.  School days start at 8:00 a.m. and end at 2:26 p.m, except on Wednesdays, which are early release and ends at 1:26 p.m.

Kindergarten

Parents are encouraged if they haven’t already registered their child for Kindergarten, to please do so at once by contacting the school office. The first day of school for Kindergartners is Tuesday, September 3.


School Office hours

School offices are open for registration Monday - Thursday  between the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. during summer break.  Regular office hours are Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Health Services

Sports physicals are valid for 2 years, and are available at OMP Walk-In Clinic located at 907 Georgiana St, Port Angeles, WA 98362.  No appointment is needed, and the walk-in clinic is available 7 days a week, 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m..

Food Services

Crescent will continue to provide breakfast and lunch service to all students at no charge. For more information and new prices on school meals, see the District's Child Nutrition pages on our website.

Parents/guardians are encouraged to fill out a Free/Reduced Meal application for the current school year which helps the district with other funding and can qualify your student for other waivers. Applications are available at the school office and on the District website. And will also come home in the first day packets.

Friday Food Bag Program

School families can sign up for the Friday Food Bag program. The Port Angeles Food Bank, in collaboration with Crescent, offers students in need a Friday Food Bag with a meal for the weekend at no cost. Sign-up forms for Friday Food Bags will be available at school buildings, and the program begins in mid-September.

Our bus route may be accessed on the District’s website at https://www.csd313.org/apps/pages/emergency. Parents, please take a moment to familiarize yourselves with Inclement Weather Notification information also available at this website. Please note: It is important that your student’s school office has your current contact information.

Volunteers

Crescent School District greatly values and appreciates the time, talents and efforts of our volunteers. All school secretaries have volunteer packets in their offices for anyone wishing to volunteer in the classrooms or school buildings. Those wishing to volunteer must provide a valid driver’s license for a background check.
