George Washington Pays a Visit to Elementary Students

This morning George Washington treated elementary students (K-3) to a special appearance!  Vern Frykholm has been portraying the president for many years and loves to visit and share information with all ages.

Our students learned all about what life was like when he was a boy.  They learned about what school was like, what kind of toys he played with, what his responsibilities were, and so much more!  They also learned about what life was like for him as adult and about where he lived.  His plantation was bigger than Joyce!

An important message that George shared with the students was that his father raised him to always tell the truth.  He gave each student a special token to remind them do the same.
